2015 Wrap up from South Sudan

2015 proved to be difficult in the extreme with the political and social upheaval brought on by warring factions within South Sudan. Many people lost their lives, others were forced to flee their homes and many others died of disease and starvation. The country has been brought to a virtual standstill, businesses have failed, crops have not been planted and families violently disrupted.

Ps Henry continued to share the gospel at every chance. He ran several outréaches in and around Juba, taught at conferences and youth seminars and preached in churches. In spite of the chaos and turmoil the people are living in God again proved faithful and moved in powerful, miraculous ways in the lives of spiritually hungry people.

Ps Henry suffered several bouts of serious illness, mainly typhoid and malaria which are recurring issues for him. Treatment is expensive so he greatly appreciates the prayers of many faithful supporters.

With help from supporters Ps Henry was able to attend a training programme run by the Haggai Institute in Cyprus in November. he appreciated fellowship with other Christians from persecuted backgrounds and time away from the unrelenting pressure he lives with.

After returning Ps Henry and his team started preparing for the annual Leadership Training Conferences to be held in January/ February 2016. These always prove to be times of great blessing and encouragement.
