Fundraising and other challenges for 2015

The weakened Australian dollar meant that raising sufficient funds in 2015 was made harder than usual. This situation was exacerbated by the rising costs of living in South Sudan. However, God is always faithful and with the help of our generous supporters we were able to get through the year.

Several successful fundraising events were held during the year including a concert which was supported by several African and Australian churches, a clothes swap, a Masters Sausage Sizzle, a cultural afternoon and the ongoing sales of Ephatha Gospel Choir’s DVD/ CD. Several churches made significant contributions including the WA Office of Foursquare Churches, Mundaring Church, Highway Church and 5ONE4 in Armadale. We also have our faithful monthly contributors to whom we are very grateful. Thank you all!

Fundraising was also affected by the fact that Ps Pam Devenish has had health issues that needed attention as well as starting a church plant in Byford in June. She is now ready to take fundraising to a new level in 2016 and would love to hear any ideas you might have. NRM is always willing to give talks etc at your church, youth group or club. Please contact us if you are interested.

Ps Pam will be travelling to Uganda in late January 2016 to meet with Ps Henry and run several more conferences for the ex patriot South Sudanese living in Kampala. We would appreciate your prayers for the success of these ventures. It is imperative we tune in to what the Holy Spirit is doing amongst the precious people of South Sudan so that we can be a blessing to them.
